Monolith Gallery will open on the evening of the 24th October with a wonderful charity art event organized by the Make A Wish Foundation, helping brave children with more than their fair share of life's challenges. The exhibition involves 39 artists from a variety of backgrounds united by a common purpose. All works are available for sale through Make A Wish Foundation and we hope that you will visit us for this event, which is open to the general public from the 25th of October to the 30th October 2014.

Monolith Gallery is an art space set up to help connect great art to a wider audience. The first step towards breaking down barriers was to locate the gallery, not in an area reserved for art specialists, but an easily accessible arena open for all art lovers. We chose to locate at Astoria, which has recently undergone a full refurbishment to create a great meeting place and a hub for creative people.

As a prelude to the opening of the gallery a large monolith appeared in Astoria at the -2 level raising questions as to its existence and acting as an aid to self reflection. The photos below show some of the reactions to its arrival....we hope you enjoy!!
